Dr. Mike Reilly, MD

Born in Chicago, Dr. Michael Reilly moved to St. Petersburg, Florida in the third grade, with his 7 younger brothers and sisters, who all still live in St. Pete. Although he spent a short time away to attend college at the University of Notre Dame on a tennis scholarship, and earn his medical degree at Loyola Medical School of Chicago, Dr. Reilly returned to the St. Pete community to complete his residency and he’s been here ever since.

With a passion for people and wellness, Dr. Reilly found his call in Family Medicine. He holds board certification in four specialties – Family Medicine, Sport Medicine, Geriatrics and Adolescent Medicine – and is one of the few doctors in the United States to hold that distinction. He stays up to date on current medical trends and averages an astounding 400 hours of continuing education every year since 1980 (with the state of Florida only requiring 20 hours of CME), which is more than 99% of medical doctors.

As active in the community as with his practice, Dr. Reilly has volunteered at the St. Petersburg Free Clinic each month for over 40 years, offering his medical knowledge and support to those who need it. He also provides training for medical students, runs and volunteers with the St. Anthony’s Triathlon for all but one of the last 40 years, and has been honored with a Distinguished Citizen Award by the Boy Scouts, Franciscan Award by St. Anthonys, St. Jude award by the Diocese of St. Petersburg, and many others. He was the medical team doctor for the Tampa Bay Rays from 1996 – 2018 and the Tampa Bay Lighting from 1993 – 2002.

Dr. Reilly and his wife Jennifer are the proud parents of six boys. They enjoy playing many sports, especially tennis, and many outdoor activities, and place a focus on spending time together.
